The LNP’s clear plan for Queensland and Queensland families

Delivering a clear action plan to make Queensland a ‘Can Do’ place once again by ensuring all Queenslanders share in the wealth of our boom times and our children have a safe and stable future will be the key priorities of a Liberal National government, LNP Leader Campbell Newman said today.

Speaking at the LNP’s Campaign Launch in Brisbane, Mr Newman released a number of new policy commitments and reaffirmed the LNP’s key pledges to get Queensland back on track to deliver positive change for the 4.6 million Queenslanders living right across this great State.

“These pledges show just how ready and determined our strong and united LNP team is to deliver real change for the hard-working, passionate and dedicated people in our cities, our regions and coastal areas who work hard every day to raise their families and support their communities,” Mr Newman said.

LNP will better prepare our children for success

The LNP has committed to revitalising Queensland's education system to give our children the best start in life.

"Under the tired, 20-year Labor government, Queensland children are languishing at the bottom of the nation for literacy and numeracy," Mr Newman said.

Welcome to my online office!

It is my honour and privilege to serve you in the Queensland Parliament.

Surfers Paradise is a special part of the world. With its playful history, Surfers Paradise has long been considered the heart and soul of the Gold Coast, where entertainment, tourism and business collide and thrive.

As your local representative my goal is to ensure the spirit of Surfers is retained by delivering a world-class transport system, supporting a robust local business and tourism economy, and encouraging sustainable development.

Part of my role as a Member of Parliament is to ensure your needs and the needs of my community are served by the State Government. Since being elected in 2004 I have worked hard to make sure the Gold Coast has a strong voice in Parliament. As a result, I have successfully campaigned for tougher restrictions on underage drinking and bans on dangerous drug implements, as well as initiating other important public health measures which will help improve the health and well-being of Queenslanders.

I am committed to delivering results and representing the people of Surfers Paradise to the best of my ability. In order to achieve this, I rely on your feedback about the issues that affect you in our community. I hope you will use this website to contact me and express your views and ideas.

Thank you for visiting!

The Hon. John-Paul Langbroek MP

Member for Surfers Paradise

Minister for Education, Training
and Employment
